5. You consent Mr. Smith for an incisional biopsy of the nose lesion and he agrees with the plan. He understands the risk of pain, swelling, bleeding, and rarely skin infection with the skin biopsy. He is aware of the risk of a scar and the rare potential risks from the local anesthetic. Mr. Smith tolerated the procedure very well.
